Recent Statistics predict by the year 2023, 40% of the population will be living in poverty!
I am More understands the direct effect of poverty and the diversities it has on children. Poverty has a lasting, damaging impact on the future life chances of children and intensifies systematic inequalities. Since the pandemic (March 2020), it was predicted that by the next general election – 730,000 more children and young people will be caught in the poverty group.
Our Workshops Aim to Support All Children

What Happens In a Workshop
In a workshop, children are encouraged to explore their stretch zone, identify they are unique and to celebrate their individual talents and objectives they want from life. They get to identify leaders, personal qualities and explore their aspirations and motivations to be successful in life and to define what success may mean to them. The workshop is a safe environment and the time spent together is memorable due to the hands on, interactive approach.
Workshops support the PSHE curriculum and the new Ofsted framework. Each child will be given a means of evaluation for your records which indicates the effectiveness of workshop to the individual pupil.
The new framework emphasises:
‘ The personal development judgement requires evidence that schools have worked to prepare young people for the next steps in their education and their later employment.’
I am More’ workshops focus on the quality of education. Ofsted focus on the 3 I’s ( Intent, Implementation and Impact) we work with the school to not just deliver a broad range of PSHE topics but equip young people for the real world. Ultimately, improving academic performance, developing better attendance levels and enhancing the students overall experience and well-being.
Workshops can be a one off experience, capturing some key topics you feel is a best suit for your pupils or it can be a course of modules and spread over a time period.
Our workshop is designed to be intimate, a maximum of 30 pupils per session. Sessions are completed on site and within school hours.
In addition, each child who attends a workshop will have a tree planted in their name. We work collaboratively with Just One Tree. See our corporate social responsibility page for more information here.
A non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. They make it simple for individuals, schools, and businesses to plant trees. They feel that together we can combat climate change. I am More are proud to support such a great organisation and help be the change we want to see. We know how much pressure and responsibility sits upon teachers’ shoulders at the best of times. Educating the next generations both in school and remotely, is pushing those strengths even further.
